Winter 2010 Classes Now Enrolling

Dance is:

• the bodily outlet of emotions that are intrinsic in music
• physically challenging
• a connection between motor movements and musical tempos

It is not only a physical and emotional outlet for the performer, but it evokes the audience's emotions and connects sight and sound to create an exciting stimulus. Dance education develops students physically, by giving them exercise and by increasing the control over their body, and socially, by giving them exposure to an element that transcends all cultures.

Our DANCE Program: Our dance program gives students exposure to various types of dance in order to expand their cultural knowledgebase and to give them a fun and interesting form of exercise. We currently offer training in:

• jazz
• hiphop 
• ballroom

As the school grows, we will offer additional forms of dance, such as hula, ballroom, latin, and hip hop. Students will learn dance techniques and routines, but will also have the opportunity to choreograph their own dances.
